It is used at the grain processing sites in order to humidify the grain at a desired rate.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The IDP Series Intensive Dampener is used at grain processing sites to humidify grain at a desired rate before tempering or milling. It provides intensive moisture addition through mechanical treatment combined with controlled water application.

The machine consists of two main sections. The first part is a semi-cylindrical body mounted at an angle on a stand, containing a rotor with fixed blades, motor drive unit and product passage sensor controlling inlet and outlet spouts.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Grain enters the inclined chamber where rotating blades intensively mix product with metered water. The sensor monitors flow to maintain consistent moisture addition. Uniform hydration is achieved in a short retention time before discharge to tempering bins.

APPLICATION AREAS

  • Wheat tempering before milling
  • Grain conditioning in flour mills
  • Intensive dampening where higher moisture uptake is required

Intensive dampening prepares grain for tempering bins with rapid and uniform water uptake compared to simple spray systems. Angle-mounted rotor design increases mixing intensity while product passage sensor prevents overfilling during line stops.
