New 500 TPD Facility in Quebec Will Set a New Benchmark for Autonomous Flour Milling Technology
ALAPROS, one of Türkiye’s leading grain and flour milling technology companies and among the country’s top exporters in the food processing machinery and equipment sector, continues to expand its global footprint with another landmark project.
The company announced that manufacturing activities and construction of the new facility are progressing as planned for the 500 metric ton per day turnkey flour mill project awarded by Luthi Grains in Quebec, Canada. The contract was signed at the end of 2025 and represents one of the most important milestones in ALAPROS’ North American growth strategy.
The investment is being carried out by Luthi Grains and will support the production and growth of the company’s new premium flour brand, Go Ancestral. Designed to serve the growing demand for high-quality flour products in North America, the project combines advanced milling technology, automation, and brand-focused production capabilities under a single integrated facility.
The new greenfield facility, to be built in Quebec City, will incorporate ALAPROS’ latest generation Roller Mills, Plansifters, smart automation systems, digital process control technologies, and advanced artificial intelligence solutions.
AI-Powered Autonomous Milling
The most distinctive aspect of the project is its vision to become one of the world’s most advanced AI-managed flour mills.
Unlike traditional automated milling facilities, where operators continuously supervise and adjust production parameters, the Quebec mill will be designed around a self-learning artificial intelligence platform capable of optimizing and managing operations with minimal human intervention.
